It breaks my heart to have to sing this song
The tears are falling from my eyes as write
I've seen the horrors of the wars that have been
and all the lost forsaken souls and there plight
Its just not right no Its not right
I close my eyes but I still see
I close my ears but I still hear
I close my mouth but I still cry
Can't shut it out no matter how I try
I want to reach out to the mother who lost her son
I want to comfort the chil.d who lost her mom
I want to try to save the world before it's gone
but I can't there is so much I'm only one
I close my eyes but these visions keep haunting me
I close my ears but I keep hearing cry's of humanity
I shut my mouth it's to late these things are much to great
But Its no use I'm only one am I to late
One day our eyes will close for good
One day our ears will hear no more
One day our mouth will make no sound
One day our body's will lay in the mud
We need the eyes of every one to see just what is going on
We need the ears to hear them crying out in pain
We need the mouth to speak out and stop it happening again
We need to try and stop it happening all again
I close my eyes but I still see
I close my ears but I still hear
I close my mouth but I still cry
I hope that you and anyone else that posts here has their interests/lyrics protected so that someone doesn't come along a claim the lyrics as their own.
A hundred years ago, my former boyfriend would always place anything he wrote, in an envelope and mailed it to himself. His explanation to me was so that he would have his lyrics postmarked and dated for that specific reason.

That's a wonderful suggestion miss B! Thanks for sharing that with everyone.
I'm glad you found the information useful. I suppose with technology being what it is, sending yourself an email would serve the same purpose.....it's date and time stamped.
