I don't understand it either. It's impossible to ejaculate too much. When your balls run out of juice you just cannot get erect any more. As long as your dick gets hard it's OK to jack off. And there are negative effects to abstinence, not the least of which is impotence. Use it or lose it.

So if you don't have partner(s) to shoot your loads with, give yourself a good hand job and don't feel bad about it. Masterbation is normal and healthy.

While 'whom' is indeed grammatically correct here, 'masturbation/masturbating' are the correct spellings of the words you used.

While I think I'm a pretty sharp grammarian, if I do say so myself, I'll readily admit that I'm the world's worst speller. Catching me in a spelling error ain't no big thing. (Yes, I know "ain't" is not an acceptable word and "ain't no" is a double negative, but I used this expression for stylistic reasons.)

Actually, I do know the correct spelling of masturbation. It's a favorite pastime and I do know how to spell it. I don't know how these errors crept in.

I respectfully disagree with some of your message: One's balls do not run out of juice, they produce a small amount of fluid containing millions of microscopic sperm which are the male contribution to life. The prostate gland, located just forward of the anal canal (can be reached by a middle finger inserted through the anus), produces the bulk of one's semen (cum load). My urologist agrees with your statement: "Use it or lose it," but with reference to impotence (inability to have an erection). Erections are a complicated process involving the nerves, brain, blood flow into the penis, vein valves, etc., not by "running out of juice." During my mid-teens, if I abstained more than two days, nature prevailed at night by starching my pjs with a huge wet dream (very embarrassing). There are many websites that deal with the truth about puberty, male sexual response etc., I cannot post links on SYD, but just search for male sexual topics. I have often heard references on porn sites of unloading one's balls when shooting a load, not medically correct however. Spermkiss, I often read your comments and appreciate your wisdom, I mean no offense in offering this dissertation.

I'm sure that you do get erections all the time. When I was your age it sometimes felt as though I had a hard-on twenty-four hours a day. And if you want to abstain for a while to see what it's like when you finally do bust a nut, go right ahead.

No offense taken. You're right, of course. I fully realize that most of the fluid ejaculated is semen produced by the prostate. I used the expression "balls run out of juice" in a metaphoric way. As for impotence, it is often used to mean erectile disfunction, but it can also mean that and/or the inability to reach orgasmic climax. I was using it in the broader sense.

The points I was trying to make are these:

There is no such thing as excessive masturbation. Whether a man (or boy) does it once a week, once a day or once an hour, if he can become erect and reach a climax that's the right amount for him.

Masturbation is a normal and healthy pursuit. (Not to mention being a lot of fun.) It is nothing to feel guilty about or ashamed of.

Abstinence can have undesirable consequences. At Skater89's tender age of twenty-one or even at twice that age it would almost certainly not have them, but when a man gets to be an old fart like me, it very well might. It's important to keep the systems "up and running", as it were. If a man of mature years stops having orgasms, he might very well find it difficult or impossible to start again. Therefore if partnerd sex is his main activity and he loses his partner thru death, divorce, extended absence or whatever, he should pleasure himself to keep the juices flowing.
