How do some people get to become famous/celebrities ?

It goes beyond that, really, because "Kim or Kanye" wouldn't be on the covers unless someone chose them to be. And that choice was made by profiteers. People always required food, sex and entertainment. Food is relatively cheap these days, you don't have to work all days long just to eat, even in poor countries. So, people have a lot of free time. As for sex - public opinion is still against promiscuous sex and no one is able to make sex all days long anyway. So, entertainment is of very high demand in our era. That's why clowns of all sorts are loved by public and make a lot of money. It's not important how stupid is the act or the actor as long as general public thinks it's funny.
