for me doesn't work too... i have pics with much more visits,comments,quality and never get a pic on the main page, i don't know why.... i feel sad because i saw pics on the main page that are much more poor them mine, so it's not for getting much visits or comments or a good quality...

Only pics posted in 5 past days can be on the main page. The rest depends on visits and votes - the more you get the bigger is the chance to be there.

Without 5 days limit most probably only the same very old pics were on the main page as it gets harder and harder to beat them with each passing day.
