Its amazing when posting photos the variety of likes and mostly dislikes there is due to the lack of comments received on photos you thought were truly amazing vs the popularity of others which make it to the main page time and time again. I have tried to manage my gallery and provide a variety of exciting, stimulating, hot photos some which are equal to or higher in quality than national magazines. Pics get to the main page according to the following rules:
1. it must be posted during 5 past days;
2. all pics posted during 5 past days are sorted by popularity and top 60 are shown on the main page, i.e. you are competing against other members;
3. popularity is measured by both views and votes. P=Views*(Rating/80)
TIP: Putting your pic into upper banner may (but not guaranteed if your pic is not interesting) help to get more views/votes. Note that NO pic older than 5 days can get to the main page anyway.
