That's difficult to answer because there is a wide range of differences between womens genitals. Some women have almost no hymen and it stretches without breaking or bleeding, and other women have thick fleshy hymens that virtually obstruct the entrance to the vagina. These usually bleed much more and the hymen splits into two or more small segments that may remain for the life of the woman. Some women have such thick hymens that penile penetration is impossible,...The late Duchess of Windsor is reputed to have been one. some women are helped by surgical removal of their thick hymen, or the surgeon may simply make two small cuts.....
....for the vast majority of women the hymen is a crescent shaped veil of thin skin across the bottom of the opening and breaks easily during sex or foreplay,...or often before during sports or even horseriding. Bleeding is minimal,..equal to a couple of small cuts or tears on your finger, and the broken hymen eventually disappears or becomes just a small fold of redundant membrane in the opening......
......If bleeding is heavy and requires a bandage or aplication of lint dressing,..or continues after sex then it would be a good idea to get some medical advice and assistance.
