Thought i'd share my story as I nearly lost mine as a teenager. My foreskin wouldn't retract at all when I was 12-13 so my Mum took me to the doctor. He put my mind at ease and explained what would probably happen. For most guys, the skin separates from the glans from aged 8 upwards (Hence why you should NEVER retract a baby's foreskin to clean it!). For some guys like me this begins to happen later than usual, and can usually be remedied by stretching it over the glans regularly which usually works. In a small minority of cases it never retracts in which case circumcision is usually performed. Rather than just send me off to have the op, my doctor told me to try the stretching and if it didn't work they would circumcise me. By 19-20 it would go back very tightly when I was erect but by the time I was in my mid 20's it functioned perfectly and still does now. Obviously i'm grateful to my Doc for telling me those things as I love my foreskin, keeps my glans shiny and pink and is also very sensitive to being stroked too!

I don't think people LOSE (or loose) their foreskin, really, they just get it cut off and don't bother asking if they can keep it.

I've had it both ways...lost my foreskin 8 years ago because of recurrent balanitis problems, so no choice in the end. Result is great...problem gone, sex and wanking feel better without a foreskin in the way, the scar area is super sexually sensitive; I think it also looks better and so much easier to maintain. I'm a happy convert!
