Auto-Censor .....WTF?

Obviously most all of us here are grown adults, and we are here to expose ourselves to the world. Obviously this is a site of explicit sexual content. We are puzzled by the seemingly automated censoring of certain words. Type in what you want to say, and it appears as ****. It was a bit irritating when our number of friends were reduce, albeit we understand that, however 150 - 200 would have been more comfortable. Then we get the ad-pop-ups over all of the photos. Can't download anything (folks cannot download our photos for their own reasons, and we could care less if they do download them, if we did, we would not post them). Any thoughts floating around out there?

Well we did figure out the pop-up ads. For some reason if we wanted to download a pic we would capture that ad banner as well. But I do not see what credit card companies have to do with site content? We order adult movies, play toys, etc from other sites. And?

There is a list of words that should not appear on sites accepting credit cards, those words mostly refer to things that are not legal. Minors, violated sex, sex with relatives, etc. Supposedly those words may be used for advertizing among perverts implying that there is a content of the corresponding kind on the site. They do not care if it's true or not, if they see any of the words disregarding of the context - I can have problems.

Though I don't really know why I'm explaining this to you. Processing company simply sent me a list, I did not invent it. If I don't block the words - I can face immediate disconnection of the site from processing and in 2 month it will be shut down due to inability to pay. As simple as that. I like this much less than you, believe me.

1 year earlier I had to remove any ads with gamb/ling and (ph)armacy (yes, these words too), because cc aliances don't want to openly have anything to do with them. You did not notice this, indeed, but I lost a noticeable part of income.

companies, not governments(!), no, BIG moneymaking companies will censor us..! and the sad thing is, we (i do right now!) go along with it! apple decides i can't see nude pics from my favorite site gayromeo.com, and the world accepts it! this will go on and on and on...

in the end, the only way to stop this is to walk away from all the bussineses that go along with these companies rules. even this site... **** (h a t e) to do it, cause i love this site, but there IS a line!

Until this recent 'fix', you could not say 'poor', which came out as '***r'. This censoring of '***', a word that 4 year olds think is very bad, but not most adults, might indicate the mental age of those who drew up the cc list, perhaps?

The problem is that we allow governments, cc companies, rating agencies, banks etc. to determine what's right or wrong. This will even get worse in the future until, one day, people will maybe revolt again like in the 1960s.
Hopefully we'll not have to wait too long for it.

Admin explained it in another thread. He had to implement the censoring since the credit card companies have rules for which words that can appear on sites with adult content.
