Well for most of us guys it defines (part of) our egos. Simply put: my ego is 7" long. Besides that, its a very important organ for our psychological welbeing, or at least a good sexlife and regular orgasms are (for both male and female).

To that I dont have an answer. The rather strange way the human psyche works is to blame. Why are many women unsatisfied with the size of their breast? Why are psychological diseases as anorexia or depression in this world? Its unexplainable and silly in a way, yet its everywhere.

I believe that the breast size issue is different. It seems that women are most often dissatisfied with their breasts because MEN tell them that they should be.

"Just a penis...what's all the fuss about?" You've got to be kidding! The penis is the universally loved sex organ. EVERYONE loves the penis.

Shall we go down the list?

First of all, gay and bi-sexual men love the penis for obvious reasons. We love our own penis for all the pleasure it gives us and we love the penises of other men.

Straight men love the penis. A straight man will love is own penis for the same reason a gay man will love his. But a straight man will also enjoy looking at other men's penises and watching them climax and ejaculate. When a man watches another man climax he is living vicariously thru the other man. Even the most potent of us can only experience a finate number of orgasms per day, but we can watch a hundred orgasms by other men and still want more.

Straight women love the penis. Perhaps not as much as gay men (or even straight men) do, but the affection is there.

Even lesbians love the penis. This part is a little hard to understand, but I have read several times that many, perhaps most, lesbians like to watch gay male porn. A few lesbian friends of mine have confirmed this.

Why is the penis so universally loved? Because a penis is totally honest. It is impossible to fake an erection and it is impossible to fake an ejaculation. When we see a load of sperm squirting out of an erect penis, we know it's the real thing.

I understand why people LIKE penises, and you explain that very well in your post. I still don't get what all of the fuss is about.

Biologically, it is a meaty tube which aids in the elimination of liquid waste produced by the body. It also is a key component in reproduction; its purpose being to deliver sperm into the vagina so as to fertilize the ovum. It is, by its very nature, not the most important organ of the body. Nor is the orgasm the most important bodily function.

Roughly 50% of the human population have a penis (as do all male mammals)...so it isn't as if it is all that difficult to run into one. Most individuals who own a penis will be more than happy to show it to you if you ask nicely.

True, the penis comes in many shapes and sizes but, as that is a matter of genetics, it has nothing at all to do with the quality of the individual who possesses it. A whim of reproductive fate determines what style of penis you get (or, for that matter, if you get one at all!), yet so many humans seem to spend an unwarranted amount of time obsessing over penis size and shape. Many are also preoccupied about whether they will ever get to see...or touch...one!

Granted, I posted the question on a site dedicated to the display of the human penis...so I realize that I am shouting "movie" in a crowded movie theater...but, still...

To repeat myself "The penis is the universally loved sex organ." The operant word in that sentence is SEX. Sex is the most powerful motivating **** in the world. Again to repeat myself "When we see a load of sperm squirting out of an erect penis, we know it's the real thing." Ejaculation is a real as it gets.
