I went on anti depressants about a year ago to stabilise anxiety attacks I was experiencing at the time. The anxiety is gone but of all the potential side effects that could affect me the only one that has is delayed orgasm... and in my case extremely delayed! My fuck buddy loves that I can last and last and last... but the downside is she has not been able to make me cum. She gives great head, hand jobs and everything else but to no avail. I get to make her cum multiple times but she gets no satisfaction in getting me there. So while it may sound great being able to last forever it's a real frustration for the ladies. It would be interesting to hear if others have experienced this and how it affected them.

aussieman lasts for hours and l don't mind at all, like he says, its not my fault he cant come, its just how he's put together and being accepting of it and understanding has made what he called a problem, to me is a great asset.. lve told him if he feels close he can come when ever he wants and not to hold back, as l know l will still get plenty of great sex over the weekends lm there, and letting him learn to control his body how ever he likes is better for him l think... l don't want to change him, l just want him to feel good about himself when ever lm there *lix*

Good topic. Any new comments, New drugs?

A few of the newer antidepressant medications:
Celexa, Lexapro, Cymbalta, ...

When I was younger I had a couple of years on anti depressants. Had to try several before I settled on one that worked well and didn't make me loose all interest in sex. That in itself can agrivate depression as it causes stress. Started on prozac, which made me loose interest in sex completely. Ended up on amytriptaline which worked and didn't stop me being horny. Go back and speak to your go about it. They will tend to start you off on milder and cheaper meds, but if it's not cutting it, it is worth trying something else

That is my next step... the dosage has been reduced, will see if that has any effect first.

By #500097 at 05,May,16 18:34
I used it for a while because a came too quick....
By #61033 at 05,May,16 20:40
That is rather unusual... I would have thought a desensitiser would have been more appropriate considering the number of potential nasty side effects these meds can cause.

I too have that problem. I am on (Sertraline) and it really takes a long time to get off. I am uncut so it takes a little longer than cut ones. It helps if I put some oil on it and stroke it. I only jack-off and love to play with mine. Sometime I have to stroke for 5 to 8 minutes to get off. Hope this helps.Flat_Dick in Indiana.

I am also on Sertraline. Seems like this side effect is a lot more common than I thought...
By #23212 at 24,Apr,16 05:37
YES!! That's a huge understatement here! It is generally reported that well over 75% of people taking anti depressants in this category, that is SSRIs such as Sertraline (Zoloft), Prozac, etc., have minor to major sexual side effects like you have reported.

However of the over 35 different kinds of anti-depressants available currently, there are lots of others, in other categories, that do NOT have THESE side effects. IMHO, consulting with a specialist in mental health issues and medications should help you find a far better medication for your problems. Best wishes.

My husband takes Wellbutrin, and I've read that not only does it have minimal to no sexual side effects, sometimes it can even intensify orgasms.
By #61033 at 27,Apr,16 05:05
Intense orgasms is one of my more pleasurable side effects, probably because it takes a lot more stimulation before it happens. So while my libido is not what is used to be, erections happen relatively easily, it takes longer to orgasm and when I do it is really intense. The only real problem is that my lady friend has not been able to make me orgasm without some help from me hence the frustration for her.
Thanks for your inputs, I will keep them in mind.

The intense orgasm is nice, I'm sure, but my husband is so exhausted from the efforts to get there that he doesn't seem to enjoy it nearly as much as when I get him there.

I understand your lady friend's frustration. A big part of her pleasure is giving you pleasure, and I can relate because that's exactly how I feel about my husband. Sure, I know we can both enjoy each other regardless, but ultimately knowing that I'm "the one" giving him that orgasm is an enormous turn-on for me and an important part of my own sexual satisfaction as his lover.

Good luck!

Can totally relate to your experience. Not just a frustration for the ladies because my spouse and I are both male. When he started taking an antidepressant a few years ago, he immediately began having problems reaching orgasm...like, the very first day he started taking it. Prior to that, I could easily get him off with blowjobs, but once he started the antidepressant, I could get him all the way to the edge and then, instead of an orgasm, he'd start going soft. The only way he could climax would be if he jerked the hell out of his cock, and he was so exhausted afterward that it was almost not even worth the effort. It was extremely frustrating for both of us and started taking a toll on our sex life.

After a few months, he made an appointment with his doctor and explained the problem. (This is a very common side effect and also a very common complaint.) His doctor switched him to another antidepressant, and viola...everything started working normally. So I would strongly suggest making an appointment and asking your doctor to prescribe another medication for you.

Thanks for your response. I have since learned that the incidence of delayed orgasm is as high as 70% of users. I am going to a lower dose in preparation to easing off the anti depressants so hopefully the symptoms will reduce. My problem really only started when I was moved from 50mg to 100mg sertraline. If there is no change I will move to a different formulation with a lower incidence of this particular side effect. I don't want to move yet because I luckily have no other side effects. I may not be so lucky when changing to another formulation.

Just a thought here: You might want to ask about trying Trazodone. One of its very few side effects is big erections!

Sounds like a good plan. Just make sure you're doing all this with a doctor's permission, as changing the levels of dosage can throw your system out of whack. The antidepressant my husband takes now helps him just as much as the previous one as far as his depression without any effects on his orgasms, except whenever he's sick (although I don't know if that's the sole cause of the problem).

I have the problem occasionally without any meds. I hardly cum from a blowjob, really need to focus if I wanna cum through a handjob (by someone else), only copulation always gets me there. But even then, sometimes I can last very long to my and her frustration. With a condom that can take forever. Hence I don't like condoms that much.
By #61033 at 26,Apr,16 17:22
Let's hope you never have to go on anti depressants then... That could be a disaster!

I'm on sertraline as well but..... I've been like that for my whole life, even years before going on it!

By #372661 at 23,Apr,16 22:59
I use Stablon (tianeptine) and can sometimes have difficulty achieving orgasm in a timely manner. What gets me off faster is when my lady fingers my ass.

By #493930 at 23,Apr,16 19:25
I'm on an antidepressant as well. I can cum, but the orgasms are weak and my sex drive is really low. That's why I come here. Hard dicks help get me excited.
By #61033 at 23,Apr,16 21:26
Not good, sorry to hear that! When I cum after all that stimulation it is with a vengeance. So while it is difficult to get there the reward is worth it in the end!

Interesting.

You are able to make her achieve multiple orgasms yet "she gets no satisfaction" in getting you there. Wow! Screw her, what about you? You're getting great head, great hand jobs but how is your big head treating all this? I mean, all this physical and mental stimulation and no climax, no ejaculation. How are you getting yourself to that grand finale? When you're not spending time with your friend with benefits, are you wanking, rubbing one off?
By #61033 at 23,Apr,16 21:23
Hi Bella. I help rub one out while she is with me. She gets me close and keeps me there, that final push to get over the hill just doesn't come (pardon the pun) without some help from me. While I don't mind helping it is not easy on her. My big head is fine, I understand the reason and accept it for what it is - frustrating but just a temporary situation that will normalise soon.
