Actually the new leader coming in considers the illegal fire-arms coming North from the US just as a big problem as immigrants going South. So there’s work to be done on your side as well.
If you believe these tariffs are really about the minimal immigrants and drugs from Canada, that is your choice.. I believe it’s just a distraction, like the invasions.. He’s not going to be able to keep any of his campaign promises, but he’s in now.. he doesn’t have to. There won’t be lower prices on food, gas, and housing.. they’re all going to go up.. substantially too.. Tariffs do that.
These tariffs are definitely going to hurt Canada, no doubt, but we survived it last time.. Trump is not only talking of imposing tariffs on Canada and Mexico, but China and Europe as well. That is going to hurt the US economy. I think you’re in for an eye opener. The rest of the world is already exploring new market alternatives. I read yesterday that China is in the process of a billion dollar wheat/soy deal with Argentina, instead of US wheat because they consider Trump too unstable economically to get a deal done.

yes it's good for Canada.. let's get some oil moving. We have lots of natural gas as well.. you just need to convince your new president that 25% tariffs aren't really a good thing for you as a consumer. It certainly won't bring gas prices down as promised.

well we all know Trump likes to talk like that.. same as the trade deficit/subsidy thing.. you have to watch what he says.. he likes to spin. I think he means being a part of NATO. Also he forgets that Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth of Nations which has 56 countries in it. The USA is not part of it.
