As for farmers getting money for crops they plow under and call it insured,that has been going on for years and to me is fraud.Just in my county I think back in 2014 there was over 2 million dollars paid in "crop Insurance" to local farmers for something they planted,it came up,market prices were down,so they mowed it,or plowed it or made silage out of it instead of selling it on the market. We may be the bread basket of the world but many of our foods are imported or moved cross country. I live in Florida, an oranges powerhouse but, the biggest suppliers of oranges are from California. Many of our veggies come from Mexico and many fruits come from Brazil.
Many of our farmers, because China is no longer buying their grain (tariff war), don't have the money to replant the other foods for in-country consumption. Many are at or near bankruptcy and loss of the farm. This allows the big conglomerates to control prices.

“I had no idea the military aid was held up,” at the time of the call with Trump, Zelensky said on Oct. 10. Well after that July 25 conversation, the Ukrainians learned that the aid had been delayed, in part to see if Kiev would live up to its promises to fight corruption. Zelensky and Vice President Mike Pence discussed this in Warsaw on Sept. 1. The assistance was released 10 days later. “And after this meeting, the US unlocked the aid and added $140 million,” Zelensky said. “That’s why there was no blackmail.”
